Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by the subject teacher or department.
- Manage student behaviour in accordance with the school's behaviour policy.
- Supervise and assist students during their classwork, ensuring they stay on task.
- Promote a positive learning environment, encouraging student participation.
- Ensure lessons run smoothly by maintaining good order and discipline.
- Provide basic assistance and clarification to students if needed.
- Ensure that all materials and resources required for the lesson are available.
- Encourage students to complete their work to the best of their ability.
- Respond to any immediate queries or issues in the classroom.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Experience working with young people, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and engage groups of students effectively.
