This Secondary is ideal for yourself due to its supportive nature and career progression plan. We are looking for a creative individual to help with leading classrooms and lessons plans given from the teacher, and also partake in 1 to 1 activities with students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by the subject teacher or department.
  • Manage student behaviour in accordance with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Supervise and assist students during their classwork, ensuring they stay on task.
  • Promote a positive learning environment, encouraging student participation.
  • Ensure lessons run smoothly by maintaining good order and discipline.
  • Provide basic assistance and clarification to students if needed.
  • Ensure that all materials and resources required for the lesson are available.
  • Encourage students to complete their work to the best of their ability.
  • Respond to any immediate queries or issues in the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and engage groups of students effectively.
