CSCS Operative

The Best Connection Crawley are excited to announce a brand new position for aCSCS / General Operativeto join our clients busy operation. We are looking for 4 staff on a temporary to permanent basis! There is lots of room for progression with our client! We are looking for individuals who are keen to learn and grow with a company. You will receive detailed training on how to operate all machinery, any previous experience working within a construction setting or with materials would be desirable but not essential.

Starting salary for this role will be 12.50, rising to 13 after a successful 12 week probation period. You will be guaranteed 8 hour per day, regardless if you do a full 8 hour shift!Overtime is paid at time and half once you have completed 45 hours per week. Should you be required to work a Saturday, you will also receive time and a half for all hours completed!

Responsibilities of a CSCS / General Operative

• Operatives will be required to attend sites across the South, you will receive your locations the day before and be required to drive from your home location to site. Start times do vary, but most days fall between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00. Flexibility to working hours is essential!
• Once on site, you will meet with the site manager to complete a Health and Safety Assessment and then carry out yourduties; theseinclude measuring products, setting up equipment and carrying out the transferring of materials.
• Operatives will be required to record all details of temperatures, product codes, amounts and stock take on a company tablet. Attention to detail is key, and the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team is essential.
• You will be required to support other areas of the business at times, this can include duties such as: production, stock take, transport or repairs.

Requirements of the CSCS / General Operative

• Full UK driving licence and own car
• Valid CSCS card
• Highly reliable
• Flexible to work at different times of day.
