Housing Options Officer Temporary (3 Months)
Location: Crawley
Rate: £24.87 LTD / £20 PAYE per hour
Contract: Temporary 3 Months

Are you an experienced Housing Options Officer looking for your next role? We are recruiting for a temporary position where youll be working to support individuals with their housing needs, ensuring they receive appropriate advice and assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing housing advice and assessing applications in line with housing legislation
  • Preventing homelessness by exploring sustainable housing solutions
  • Managing a caseload of applicants, offering tailored support and guidance
  • Liaising with external agencies, landlords, and support services to secure accommodation options
  • Conducting assessments and making decisions in line with relevant policies and procedures

About You:
  • Experience in housing options, homelessness prevention, or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals and providing client-centred support
