Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Computing and IT to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
  • Plan and execute a diverse curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Ability to teach Computing and IT at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being desirable.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to providing high-quality education.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a desire to contribute to curriculum development.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and a drive to improve your teaching practice.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
