Role: Ground Maintenance Operatives
Location: Crawley and Surrounding Areas (West Sussex)
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: 12.50 - 14.00 per hour + Holiday Pay
Ongoing Temporary Contract, Temp to Perm possible for right candidates
An excellent opportunity has arisen for several Ground Maintenance Operatives to join one of our longstanding clients, a dedicated and respected business in Crawley, West Sussex. The Requirements:
- Proficient in using essential tools and machinery are required for the role.
- Experienced in gardening, landscaping or labouring, with a strong eye for detail.
- Knowledgeable about Health and Safety regulations, including hazardous materials.
- Valid UK Driving License is preferred, but non-driving roles are available also (company vans are available for tool transportation and travel).
- Able to effectively plan and manage time to complete tasks efficiently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Hardworking and capable of performing tasks in all weather conditions.
- A reliable team player with the flexibility to provide cover when needed.
The Role:
- Mowing grass verges and roundabouts, alongside pruning shrubs.
- Trimming and shaping hedges to maintain neat, tidy landscapes.
- Cleaning and maintaining road signs, street furniture, and other public areas.
- Siding and cleaning footpaths, ensuring a clear and safe walking environment.
- Cutting grips, both tractor-mounted and manual, to prevent drainage issues.
- Collecting and disposing of litter to maintain cleanliness across the site.
- Ensuring clear visibility splays for improved safety and accessibility.
