Group IT, a central function supporting IT across the EQ estate

Role Summary

A team member in the End User Computer team, supporting all devices in the EQ estate for the end users.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responding to and resolving incidents and service requests face-face and remotely.
  • Prioritise, analyse, track, and escalate alerts in line with area protocols
  • Manage incidents and service requests for users
  • Deploy desktop and laptop builds across the Group
  • Work on project roll outs, desk moves and change requests when required
  • Advise 1st line agents, undertake first time fix for agreed tasks (including user access management)
  • Escalate issue and incidents to the EUC Team Leader and ITSM
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for hardware/software issues including call ownership and management
  • Work on desktop and laptop builds across the Group
  • Where resourcing requires, perform the IT service desk role to record and advise, undertake first time fix for agreed tasks (including user access management)
  • Apply ITIL methodology to deliver best practice in all areas Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
  • Assisting other departments within IT

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and behaviours and able to fulfil the mobility requirements of the role:

  • Proven experience in Microsoft products, Windows OS, Office, Teams, Exchange, Active Directory, SCCM, SCSM, Intune, Mobile devices, Cisco.
  • Understanding of ITIL
  • Confident and capable in both a team environment and working on own initiative
  • Effective communication skills working with both IT and non-IT colleagues
  • Focused on detail but capable of being flexible when competing deadlines/projects
  • Confident and successful when planning and setting priorities for workloads
  • Basic understanding of JAMF and deploying corporate Mac OS images and software packages to Mac laptop and desktop clients
  • An interest or previous experience in a desktop engineer or senior ServiceDesk analyst would be an advantage
