The Opportunity:

As the Asphalt Assistant Plant Manager, you'll be at the helm of our operations, overseeing the production of high-quality asphalt while ensuring excellence in health and safety, sustainability, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about leading a team toward a sustainable future.

Requirements

Your Role:

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee all plant operations, ensuring the production of asphalt meets BSI:9001 specifications.
  • Conduct and review pre-start inspections and maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition.
  • Manage plant personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high operational standards.
  • Utilize control systems to optimize fixed plant operations, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Maintenance and Safety Oversight:

  • Lead the maintenance teams in proactive monitoring and repair of plant equipment.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are rigorously followed, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Monitor aggregate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet production demands.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimize plant operations to minimize environmental impact and costs.
  • Ensure efficient loading and scheduling of materials, coordinating with logistics to meet production deadlines.
  • Manage data entry and reporting for internal management systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Team Development:

  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment where every team member is valued and empowered.
