Our client is an accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP) specializing in designing and installing electrical networks, including 33kV connections, for residential, commercial, and industrial developments across targeted DNO regions.

About the role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a team, oversee project costs, designs, NERS accreditation, and client relationships, while ensuring regulatory compliance and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Project Managers and Office Staff, ensuring goals, financial targets, and deadlines are met.
  • Approve project quotations, designs, and costings, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Oversee procurement and approve subcontractors and suppliers for cost-effective solutions.
  • Represent the company, building and maintaining strong client relationships with clear communication and alignment on project expectations.
  • Manage relationships with ICPs and IDNOs, ensuring proper asset valuation and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain NERS accreditations, coordinate health and safety surveyor visits, and ensure compliance with Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance standards.
  • Ensure resource allocation, streamline communication, and address commercial or technical challenges to support project delivery.

What we are looking for:

  • Solid experience in the utility sector ideally within an electricity-focused company.
  • Strong understanding of the utility sector, with a preference for experience in ICPs or IDNOs.
  • Proven track record in managing commercial, financial, and operational aspects of utility projects.
