Job Opportunity: Machine Tool Field Service Engineer


We are seeking an experienced and versatile field service engineer to work with CNC machine tools across the UK.


Role Requirements:

  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel, including overnight stays as needed.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the CNC machine tool industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical fitting, along with a solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Installing, diagnosing faults, and servicing CNC machine tools throughout the UK, with occasional overseas travel.
  • Familiarity with control systems such as Siemens, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Heidenhain is advantageous.
  • Ensuring compliance with company Health and Safety regulations.
  • Performing tasks efficiently and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Providing professional and courteous communication with customers.
  • Completing reports and coordinating with the service office.
  • Supporting business growth by identifying opportunities for machine sales, servicing, and parts.


Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing CNC machine tools.
  • Expertise in machine tool alignment and geometry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
