Hours:
Training period (first 2-4 weeks): 6:30am - 3:30 pm (Mon-Fri)
Shift (after training period): 6:30 am-6:30 pm working 4 days on 4 days off)
: Standard hours per week: 46 hours per week.

Rates:
Training period (first 1-4 weeks):17.20 Umbrella or 12.67 per hour PAYE + Overtime & Shifts rates

About the opportunity:
Mechanical & Electrical Technicians required for a manufacturing company based in Crawley.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to build and assemble various types of special purpose machinery.
  • This will involve precision fitting and assembly work.
  • Point to point wiring, cable crimping and terminating work.
  • You will building and assembling various types of machinery. Ideal candidate must be have previous experience of building and assembling special purpose machinery.
  • Must able to work to very tight tolerances.
  • Previous experience of working with vacuum systems will be an added advantage.
  • Building/fitting special purpose machinery and complex sub-assemblies from scratch
  • Fitting of sub-assemblies
  • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, ratchet sets, along with power tools.
  • Must be competent in using measuring equipment such as Verniers & Micrometers
