Nursery Manager

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an excellent Nursery who are in a unique position, where they can consider either a Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager to join their senior leadership team!

The ideal candidate will need to maintain strong organisation skills and attention to detail and display resourcefulness to ensure the setting has the right culture, policies and resources聽 to deliver the high standards of childcare and early years education expected by parents, Ofsted, and in accordance with the companies values

This is 58-place day nursery, for 3 months to five-year olds.

For this position you are required to have:

  • Early years education and care qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in a leadership capacity
  • Understanding of special educational needs and equality of opportunity
  • Paediatric first-aid and food hygiene trained
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally
  • Experience with nursery administration (children invoices, payroll and timesheets)
  • Competent PC user (word processing, spreadsheets, emails)
  • Experience in providing staff training

Main duties and responsibilities

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conducting thorough risk assessments of the nursery environment and effectively ensures that relevant Health and Safety legislation is adhered to at the setting

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensuring the highest standards of childcare are delivered at the setting

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Consistently ensuring nursery operations adhere to Learning policies and procedures

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conducting regular staff supervisions, and creates plans for staff development

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Delivering high setting occupancy, promoting the setting through local marketing

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Hiring and developing top talent

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrating strong leadership

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Building an effective parent engagement strategy, creating links between home and the setting.
