Role Overview for a Cover Supervisor:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining learning continuity by supervising lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Your primary responsibility is to ensure students remain engaged with pre-set work while managing classroom behavior effectively.

Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects.
  • Maintain classroom control and ensure students stay on task.
  • Uphold school policies and manage student behavior effectively.
  • Provide feedback on student progress to teaching staff.
  • Support students with their learning where necessary.
  • Assist with general school duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
  • Confidence in leading a classroom environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
  • A positive and professional approach.
Requirements:
  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Math.
