Company Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team, responsible for delivering water and wastewater projects within the Southern Water portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex, high-value projects and lead teams to ensure successful project outcomes. You will be a key player in driving best practices and delivering projects to the highest standards in safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead in managing the entire lifecycle of design and build projects within the water and wastewater sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and build lasting relationships. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical knowledge, and a strong focus on both commercial and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring successful delivery of non-infrastructure, water, and wastewater projects.
  • Demonstrate collaborative leadership and work with teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure that the highest standards of Health & Safety are maintained throughout project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are completed smoothly, on time, and to client satisfaction.
  • Implement and monitor the Integrated Management System (IMS) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide clear and accurate reports on project status, risks, and performance to senior management.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure high client satisfaction.

Key Requirements

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of proven experience in regulated utilities, infrastructure, or the built environment sector.
  • Degree or HNC level engineering qualification.
  • Extensive experience in project management within the water and wastewater sectors.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and commercial skills.
  • Robust experience in subcontractor administration and management.
  • Excellent NEC3/NEC4 contractual and commercial awareness.
