Purchasing Coordinator

£28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm 

I am currently recruiting for a strong customer service/administration candidate for a manufacturing company based in the Crawley area. This candidate will benefit from having a background in sales administration, purchasing and freight but this is not essential. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the procurement of products from suppliers keeping contacts updated and informed of any issues, ensuring all information is recorded correctly on the purchasing system
  • Manage stock levels to maximise sales opportunities and manage costs 
  • Coordinate with the sales team in regards to contracts
  • Bi-weekly stock assessments to manage the ordering process ensuring there is no risk of under or overstocking
  • Manage product lead times ensuring timely delivery and always providing excellent customer service 
  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries in collaboration with freight forwarders 
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to conduct supplier reviews, delivery schedules and competitive pricing 
  • Generate monthly reports on the analysis of slow-moving stock
