Job Description:
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Technicians to join our team at our facility in Three Bridges, Surrey. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle body repair, vehicle paint repairs, property painting and decorating, or similar fields. There will be minimal mechanical work involved, with the main responsibilities focusing on surface preparation for painting. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals experienced in preparing metal or other materials / surfaces for paint applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle body repair tasks, including filling, sanding, and priming metalwork on trains.
- Prepare various materials (especially metal) for painting, ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for coatings.
- Carry out minor mechanical tasks related to surface preparation as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety
- Lino / Vinyl floor repairs.
- Internal & External Graffiti removal.
- Damaged component replacement which requires minimal mechanical skill. (non-safety related items like passenger seat change, broken cup-holders, cracked PIS lenses, window replacements, window latches etc.) in accordance with Vehicle Maintenance Instructions.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company standards and health and safety regulations.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in vehicle body repair, vehicle paint repairs, property painting and decorating, or similar roles.
- Experience with surface preparation for painting, such as filling, sanding, and priming.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor tasks (such as prepping metal for painting).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet high-quality standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently when required.
Working Hours:
- 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with both day and night shifts involved
