About the Company:
My client is a leading supplier and installer of specialist highway and security vehicle restraint systems. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a talented and results-driven Business Development Manager to join the team. This role will focus on developing and growing revenue through product and service offerings within the highways and security sectors.
Position Overview:
This role involves promoting specialist, rigorously tested highway and security products to a range of well-established and newly identified clients, aiding the strategic growth of the business. The successful candidate will work face-to-face with existing and new customers across the South of England.
Position Details:
- Permanent, full-time, hybrid role - South of England and Wales
- £40k - £48k base salary, pension contribution, car/car allowance, and a competitive bonus structure
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Generate new business sales aligned with company growth targets.
- Develop new commercial relationships with key decision makers and procurement teams.
- Conduct presentations showcasing product features and benefits.
- Prepare sales quotations and commercial offers within the product portfolio.
- Collate and support revenue forecasts on a monthly basis.
- Provide technical solutions through collaboration with the Applications Team.
- Maintain accurate records of leads and new opportunities in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with Marketing to provide technical input for literature and targeted campaigns.
- Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and exhibitions as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven product sales experience with a consultative, technical sales approach.
- Background in construction or civil engineering.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highways industry experience.
- HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent experience in engineering sales.
- 1+ years in a Business Development Manager role (construction/highways).
