Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and inspiring art lessons across various key stages in our all-through school.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the varied needs and interests of students.
- Encourage creativity and artistic expression among students, while also teaching techniques and concepts in various art forms.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress in art, both in practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
- Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate art into a broader educational context.
- Participate in school events and art exhibitions, showcasing student work and the school’s commitment to the arts.
- Maintain a dynamic and inspiring classroom environment that stimulates learning and creativity.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Art.
- Experience teaching Art at various levels, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to appreciate and excel in Art.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Creative and dynamic approach to teaching and curriculum planning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team.
