Role Overview:
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in students' learning by delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classes during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects.
- Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with the school's behavior policies.
- Support students with their learning, responding to any questions or needs they may have.
- Liaise with teaching staff and provide feedback on student progress and behavior.
- Assist with general school duties, such as supervising students during break times.
Who We're Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and engage with students confidently.
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, youth work) is desirable but not essential.
