Role Overview:As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that develop students' confidence and proficiency in English. You will play a key role in helping students enhance their reading, writing, and analytical skills while fostering a love for literature and language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students in their learning.
- Support students in developing strong literacy skills and a love for reading and writing.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as debate clubs or creative writing workshops.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department meetings, planning, and professional development.
Who We're Looking For:
- A qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best.
