The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English education to students, fostering a love for literature and language, and preparing students for academic success.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Develop and implement curriculum that meets national standards and prepares students for exams.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in English literature and language education and integrate them into the curriculum.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in English or a related field.
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of English literature, language, and composition.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Valid DBS check on the update service.
• Right to work in the UK.
