This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to engage and inspire students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5). The successful candidate will help students develop strong mathematical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of the subject.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and support students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence in numeracy and problem-solving.
- Support students in applying mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
- Participate in school events, parents' evenings, and extracurricular activities such as math clubs and competitions.
Essential:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
- Familiarity with modern teaching strategies and digital learning tools.
- A passion for promoting numeracy and extracurricular activities.
