Academics is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Role Overview:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire students to develop their mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities. You will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential while fostering a love for the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused classroom.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the Maths curriculum and share best practices.
- Support students in preparing for exams and assessments.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Maths.
- Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 & 4 (KS5 experience is an advantage).
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (the school is not easily accessible by public transport).
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
