About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Crawley. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire and engage students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5). The successful candidate will foster a love of language, literature, and critical thinking while delivering high-quality lessons that challenge and support students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature, aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and support students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Use innovative teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Foster a love for reading, writing, and analytical thinking.
- Create an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment that encourages discussion and creativity.
Essential:
- A degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching A-Level English.
- Familiarity with modern teaching strategies and digital learning tools.
- A passion for promoting literacy and extracurricular activities.
