Job Overview for a PE Teacher (Female):

They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education PE Teacher (Female) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be passionate about promoting physical fitness, well-being, and teamwork amongst students of all abilities. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that inspire students to participate in physical activity both in and out of school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5), ensuring alignment with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, active, and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to participate in a variety of sports and physical activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, including PE colleagues, to promote cross-curricular learning and holistic development.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students during physical activities, adhering to safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.
  • Manage PE equipment and resources, ensuring they are used safely and maintained in good condition.
  • Encourage and develop teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship among students.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and achievement, providing feedback to parents/carers and senior leadership when necessary.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in PE teaching and student well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting is desirable, but NQTs (Newly Qualified Teachers) are welcome to apply.
  • A strong understanding of the national PE curriculum and the ability to teach a broad range of sports.
  • Experience in organising and coaching sports teams and extracurricular activities.
