About the Role

I am currently partnered with a well established Secondary School who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5, if applicable), inspiring curiosity and fostering a love for science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and support students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school activities, including parents' evenings and extracurricular programmes.
Requirements

Essential:

  • A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching A-Level Science in a specialist subject.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and practical lab-based learning.
  • A passion for STEM education and extracurricular activities.
