The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for science among students. Depending on experience and subject expertise, there may also be opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic science lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Teach across the secondary curriculum, specializing in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics as required.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure attainment and achievement.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related subject.
- Experience teaching science at secondary level in the UK (KS3 & KS4; KS5 desirable).
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Experience teaching A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
