About Us: We are a dynamic and supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school dedicated to providing exceptional education and care to our students. Our school caters to children with a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and social communication difficulties. We believe in a holistic approach, integrating education and therapy to support each child's unique needs.

The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' educational and personal development. Your experience as a youth worker will be invaluable in understanding and addressing the challenges faced by our students. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored educational activities.

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students.

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions.

  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).

  • Support students in developing life skills and independence.

  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our students.

About You:

  • Experience as a youth worker, supporting young adults with complex needs.

  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEMH needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Resilient, patient, and adaptable.

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the education sector.

  • Relevant qualifications in youth work or a related field are desirable but not essential.
