Learning Support Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Crawley
Salary: 75 - 85 per day
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, term-time only (8:55 am - 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday)
Contract: ASAP start until 22nd July 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within the Design Technology department of our client based in Crawley. This role would primarily support the DT Teacher during lessons, but will also require some flexibility to support other departments and specific students on a 1-2-1 basis around the DT timetable.
The Role:
Offering variety, this is an opportunity to make a real impact on students' learning. As an LSA in the Design Technology department, you will:
- Support the teacher in delivering practical DT lessons
- Assist with classroom preparation, administration, and lesson resources
- Arrange and attend DT trips
Additionally, in your general Learning Support Assistant role, you will:
- Provide in-class support across a range of subjects
- Work with students 1:1 or in small groups to aid their learning
The Ideal Candidate:
- A good standard of education (including strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills)
- Previous experience working with young people in a classroom or support setting (preferred but not essential)
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to help students succeed
- This role would be ideal for someone who has worked as a teaching assistant, HLTA, a school technician, school receptionist or school administrator role previously
