Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - SEN School, East Grinstead

Academics is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in East Grinstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual who wants to make a real impact on children education and development.



Role Overview:

As an LSA, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. You will be assigned to support up to three children, either 1:1 or 2:1, providing tailored assistance to help them thrive academically and emotionally.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to students in a 1:1 or 2:1 setting, helping them engage with learning.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
  • Foster student's confidence, independence, and social skills in a supportive environment.
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies to create a structured and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
