Our client, a specialist school located in rural Surrey, is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their team on a temporary or temp-to-perm basis, making a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

The organization specialises in helping service users with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting these individuals within an educational environment.

Pay: 13.69 (including holiday pay)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with special educational needs in the classroom, helping them engage with lessons and complete tasks in line with their learning plans.

  • Monitor and document student progress, reporting to teachers, parents, and other professionals to help refine support strategies.
  • Provide personal care support, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, ensuring the comfort and well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • Empathy, enthusiasm, compassion, and mental, physical, and emotional resilience.
  • At least 6 months of experience working in care or education, preferably with children or young people with special needs.
