Are you passionate about making a difference and supporting those facing death and bereavement? Charity People are proud to be partnering with a Crawley based Hospice to find a Major Donor and Legacy Officer to help sustainably support their strategic priorities.

Hours: Part-time 25 hours
Location: Hybrid Crawley and home-based (at least 50% in the office)

They are there for people living in West Sussex and East Surrey, offering both physical and emotional support to those living with a life-limiting or terminal condition and their families.

Their expert teams care for people at home, in their Wellbeing centre and on their wards, They are on hand to support those facing death and loss. They also offer bereavement and carer support to their loved ones.

About the job

As a Partnerships Officer, you will inspire and engage high-value individual supporters, legacy pledgers, members, and major donor prospects, cultivating relationships to support the charity's strategic goals. Your role involves actively fostering new donor relationships and stewarding a portfolio of significant individual donors. By delivering exceptional experiences for supporters, you will ensure the longevity of relationships and maximize their potential to deliver sustainable income to fund the charity's care.

- Build day-to-day relationships with High Net Worth Individuals, Major Donors, Legacy pledgers, members, and prospects, delivering impactful stewardship, thanking, and face-to-face meetings. You will identify and connect with new prospects. You will develop, implement, and monitor processes to keep the High Value, Major Donor, and Legacy Pledger portfolios dynamic.

About you

You will have experience in developing and managing donor relationships or experience in customer care. You will have brilliant relationship-building skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a team player with great attention to detail. This is a brilliant part time major donor and legacy role.
