We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who are passionate about supporting children and young people with complex learning disabilities. Our client, a well-respected specialist school and college located in the beautiful countryside of Surrey, is expanding its team and looking for temporary and temp-to-perm staff to help improve the lives of vulnerable young people.

Why This Role? This school is focused on empowering students with unique learning needs, including those with social communication challenges and behavioural difficulties. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be an integral part of their journey, helping them reach their potential in a nurturing, supportive environment.



Role Overview:

  • Working Hours: 9 am - 4 pm, with full-time and part-time positions available
  • Pay Rate: 13.96 per hour (holiday pay included)
  • Location: Lingfield, Surrey

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Classroom Support: Help students stay engaged in lessons and complete tasks in line with their individualized learning plans.
  • Social Skill Building: Encourage positive interactions and participation in group activities to foster social development.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report student progress to teachers and other professionals, aiding in the continuous improvement of support plans.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Ensure students' comfort and dignity by providing support with feeding, toileting, and mobility when needed.


Who We're Looking For:

  • Personal Qualities: Compassionate, resilient, and dedicated to supporting young people with complex needs.
  • Experience: At least 6 months in a care or educational role, ideally working with children or young people with special needs.
  • Transportation: A valid driver's license and access to a car (due to the school's rural location).
