Field Application Engineering Manager

About the Role

A global leader in display and embedded technology solutions is seeking a Field Application Engineering Manager to support its expanding EMEA operations. This role will be instrumental in ensuring customer retention, pre-sales engineering support, and new business development across multiple industries, with a current focus on Broadcast and Medical sectors.

You will work closely with global teams and stakeholders, supporting both standard and custom projects while driving technical innovation and customer satisfaction. This position involves extensive travel across Europe, engaging with internal teams, customers, and sales representatives to enhance engineering support and product adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Retention: Deliver exceptional support and technical solutions to ensure customers remain engaged with the company's product offerings.
  • RFQ Success: Support the sales team by providing competitive, engineering-led proposals for customer requirements.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Assist customers and sales teams with product demonstrations, technical insights, and problem-solving for diverse applications.
  • FAE Team Development: Lead and expand the Field Application Engineering (FAE) team, ensuring they are motivated, trained, and aligned with business goals.
  • Project Management & Engineering Administration: Serve as the primary engineering contact for EMEA, managing resources, engineering documentation, and technical processes.
  • Training & Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in technical meetings, customer briefings, and internal training programs for sales teams.

Required Skills & Experience

? Strong background in LCD displays, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and embedded hardware.? Experience with BIOS/firmware development, system integration, and embedded systems using x86 and ARM architectures.? Familiarity with Linux, Windows 10, Android, and related embedded operating systems.? Proven ability to troubleshoot design challenges, resolve engineering issues, and support product innovation.? Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.? Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management tools.? Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
