Reed Education are currently supporting an innovative and successful school to find an experienced and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor/Cover Teacher or graduate who is looking for experience before training to teach, to join their team. The school is judged as 'Good' by Ofsted and boasts excellent facilities and a dynamic learning community. The Role is to start asap with the view for the right candidate to become a Permanent member of staff.

The Role:

  • Cover lessons as required across the school, ensuring that students are engaged and supported appropriately
  • Provide additional support as required to the students outside of lesson time
  • Adapt lessons to support the needs of individuals within the classroom, including those with SEN and Behaviour plans
  • Hold high expectations for safeguarding and behaviour within school and adhere to policies with regards to this
  • Be committed to keeping up to date with subject knowledge and take part in additional CPD as required.

About you:

  • An enthusiastic practitioner with effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Hold a degree and C grade in GCSE or equivalent for Maths and English
  • Ability to inspire, challenge and support students in your classes
  • A driver is desirable but not mandatory as a station is nearby
  • You must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to gain one
  • You must have right to work in the UK and be able to provide proof of address
