Academics is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with additional needs and help them reach their full potential.

Role Overview:

As an SEN TA, you will provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. You will be assigned to work with up to three children, either in a 1:1 or 2:1 setting, helping them with their learning, social skills, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support, adapting learning materials to suit individual student needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons in a structured environment.
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies and encourage student independence.
  • Support students' emotional well-being and social interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (the school is not easily accessible by public transport).
