Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students during teacher absences. You'll be responsible for supervising classes, ensuring students stay focused on pre-set work, and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the classroom when teachers are absent, ensuring continuity and engagement with pre-prepared lessons.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Support and motivate students to complete assigned work and stay on task.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent), especially in English and Maths.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and dependable approach to working in a school environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience working in a school or with young people.
- An understanding of safeguarding practices and educational settings.
- A passion for education and supporting student development.
