Academics is looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in Crawley. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing environment.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with additional learning requirements. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and school staff to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons that support students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.

  • Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure students receive well-rounded support.

  • Manage behaviour positively, using de-escalation strategies where needed.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
