What you'll be doing:

The Application Technical Lead takes on the accountability of the technical quality, standards and creation of Technical Roadmap within a product and/or software platform.

You are a Senior Technical Professional with a passion for complex software delivery, technical design, coding standards/controls and the architecture of the estate.

You'll implement modern technology standards, design and practice along with agile values and principles to help the team reach expected outcomes, predictability and continuously improve.

  • Contributes to the technical advancement and controls within Engineering function.
  • Taking input from Principal Engineering and Architecture you will be accountable for the ensuring the engineering team you support delivers work to the technical standards and best practices.
  • Take the accountability within their team to ensure technical standard align with the Solution Delivery controls framework. Uses MI to support the monitoring of the technical controls and feeds into any changes needed. 
  • Create and own the Technical Roadmap for the application(s)/product you work on. Taking inputs from multiple stakeholders you will influence getting the work prioritized with the PO and delivered alongside the ADM.
  • Responsible for technical refinement for your team. Through Solution options and LLD completion you work with Principal Engineering to ensure the team know how to implement the business ask.

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience in Software Development Lifecycle
  • Extensive experience designing, estimating, breaking apart and implementing complex technical solutions ideally within the Azure.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and tracking metrics that can be used to measure and improve quality and productivity.
  • Well versed in building and delivering IT Technical Roadmaps and visions.
  • Understanding of / experience of implementing automation best practise
  • Experience of implementing CI/CD and associated pipelines
