Technical Sales Engineer required for my client who work within instrumentation equipment and metals, based in Crawley, West Sussex.
The technical sales engineer will be managing and selling the company's product line, which includes motion controls / control panels.
The successful engineer will need to have an understanding of the design manufacturing process, but will predominantly be in charge of the business sales of the company completed products.
The successful technical sales engineer, will need to have come from an engineering / design sales background, within instrumentation, electronics or a relative field.
Technical Sales Engineer Position Overview* To exceed the company order volumes & revenue targets that are set, ranging from (but not limited to) new inbound leads, self-generated outbound opportunities and through our marketing platforms.* Be involved in the full manufacturing process cycle and have a strong understanding of the design engineering in production.* To proactively encourage and maintain a positive, vibrant and professional environment across all teams.* Shape pricing and social media strategy with the Head of Business Development and Marketing to ensure the company is maximising their content on all social media and e-mail marketing platforms.* Manage inbound contacts and outbound telephone and TEAMS appointment, with a focus on maximising conversion rates from contact through to sales.* Attend product training days as required for all companies' products.* Attend exhibitions in the UK, and abroad if needed.
Technical Sales Engineer Position Requirements* Experience within the metals industry or with instrumentation is desirable engineering experience. Others will be considered - etc; hydraulics, electronics.* 2 years or more experience within a technical engineering sales position.* ISO standards.* Experience selling technical products or instrumentation is preferred.* Hands-on experience of optical spectrometers or XRF is an advantage.* Design engineering experience that can be transferred into a technical sales related role.* Ability to travel in and around the UK.* Based within a commutable distance of Crawley, West Sussex.* Full UK driving licence.
Technical Sales Engineer Position Remuneration* Salary - £30,000 to £40,000 (DOE) + commission.* Full time position - Monday and Friday.* Hybrid In-office a minimum of 2 days a week.* Holiday package - 25 days + bank holidays.* Company pension scheme.* Other benefits include; company laptop and phone, private health insurance and free parking.
