Data Cabling Engineer

Salary: 30,000 to 35,000 per annum

Overview: Alecto Recruitment are seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to lead a skilled team within a fast-paced environment, specialising in structured cabling installations across diverse building projects. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background in data cabling, project management, and team leadership, ideally with experience in managing installations for intelligent building systems.

Responsibilities:

Project Supervision: Oversee and coordinate data cabling projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
Team Leadership: Manage and guide a team of cabling engineers, supporting their development and maintaining an effective, motivated workforce.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks and assessments to ensure all installations meet both industry standards and client specifications.
Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conducting risk assessments as needed.
Client Interaction: Act as a liaison between clients, project teams, and management, providing progress updates and handling any client inquiries effectively.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Address technical issues swiftly and provide maintenance support to ensure reliable system performance.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role within data cabling or technical building systems.
Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, particularly in the context of building management and intelligent building solutions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Competency in Health & Safety practices.
Relevant certifications in data cabling or building management systems are advantageous.
Full UK driving licence.
