Salary: 30,000 to 35,000 per annum

Overview: Alecto Recruitment are seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to lead a skilled team within a fast-paced environment, specialising in structured cabling installations across diverse building projects. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background in data cabling, project management, and team leadership, ideally with experience in managing installations for intelligent building systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Supervision: Oversee and coordinate data cabling projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and guide a team of cabling engineers, supporting their development and maintaining an effective, motivated workforce.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks and assessments to ensure all installations meet both industry standards and client specifications.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conducting risk assessments as needed.
  • Client Interaction: Act as a liaison between clients, project teams, and management, providing progress updates and handling any client inquiries effectively.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Address technical issues swiftly and provide maintenance support to ensure reliable system performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within data cabling or technical building systems.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, particularly in the context of building management and intelligent building solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Competency in Health & Safety practices.
  • Relevant certifications in data cabling or building management systems are advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.
