Job Title: Reactive Supervisor - Social Housing
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Rate: £24.00 per hour (CIS)
Contract: Temp ongoing - Potential to go Perm
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reactive Supervisor to join our team in Crawley. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of reactive maintenance services within the social housing sector. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of multi-skilled operatives and subcontractors.
- Respond promptly to resident requests for repairs and maintenance.
- Schedule appointments and ensure timely completion of all work orders.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and identify maintenance needs.
- Investigate and resolve resident complaints effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and building standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Liaise with residents, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance services.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within the social housing sector is essential.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance practices and relevant building regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- SSSTS qualification essential.
- Proven experience in managing and motivating teams.
Desirable Skills:
- First Aid qualification
- Experience with property management software
- Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., plumbing, electrical)
