Green Orchard Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit an Accounts Assistant. Our client, a well-established business with over 100 employees, is seeking an individual to join their small, friendly finance team. This is a full-time, permanent role with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week).

About the Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, focusing on Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Bookkeeping activities. You will also assist with Credit Control during periods of absence and annual leave. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities.
  • Handling general bookkeeping tasks.
  • Providing support with Credit Control as needed.
  • Working with Microsoft Business Central (full training provided if not previously used).

About You:

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual with some prior experience in finance or accounts, though formal qualifications (such as AAT) are not essential. What matters most is your willingness to learn and contribute to the team’s success. If you have a background in or affinity with the agricultural or rural sector, you’ll feel right at home in this environment.
