Real Recruitment are recruiting a Process Operative / Forklift Operatorto join our clients expanding plant-based/ factory team based in Crediton (EX17) on a full time, permanent basis.


Whilst experience isnt necessary, as full training is provided. This is a great opportunity for someone who may have experience within a Warehousing / Distribution / Factory / Production environment and is comfortable with heavy lifting and operating forklifts and machinery.


About The Company & The Role


Our client is a family-owned business dating back 150 years, with 14 plants across the UK They are proud to be one of the UKs leading Metal Galvanizers, operating in a number of sectors including Power and Rail. They apply corrosion protection to all the steel you regularly see around you, such as street furniture, lampposts, bridge beams and even football stadiums!


As a Galvanizing Operative you will join a valued team, striving to deliver the companies mission being the UKs Galvanizer of choice Working within a busy plant environment, with full training you will:


  • Preparing work to enter the galvanizing process
  • Inspecting the steel after coming out of the galvanizing bath
  • Operating overhead crane equipment and forklifts
  • Ensuring working areas are kept safe and tidy
  • Following training and procedures for all production-based activities and practices in your area.

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotating Shift


Week One: 6.00am 2.00pm | Week Two: 2.00pm 10.00pm

What You Will Bring:


Whilst full training and development is offered, you will be comfortable working in an environment where regular lifting is required.


  • You will be a team-player, conscientious and has a can-do attitude
  • Experience in a manufacturing / Factory or plant environment is advantageous, but not essential
  • You will be able to commit to working hours outlined above
  • Able to commute at these hours to Crediton
