Temp to Perm opportunities on all roles

gap personnel Exeter, are currently recruiting for a Forklift Operative for a temp to perm placement based in Crediton, Devon. You will be joining a family-owned business with 150 years of history.

You will be based in a factory environment and main responsibilities include:

  • Loading and offloading steel on lorries and company vehicles.
  • Promote good customer service.
  • Operating forklifts.
  • Ensuring working areas are kept safe and tidy, working with your colleagues and company systems to highlight any concerns.
  • Following training and procedures for all production-based activities and practices in your area.

About You:

  • Must possess a forklift (FLT) licence.
  • This role would suit someone who is a team-player, conscientious and has a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • The work often involves a reasonable amount of physical activity, so it would suit someone who is confident in lifting and handling work (with appropriate training offered to all).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday, various shifts available
  • £12.48ph + shift bonus

Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
