gap personnel Exeter, are currently recruiting for a Galvanizing Operative for a temp to perm placement based in Crediton, Devon. You will be joining a family-owned business with 150 years of history. You won’t just be joining a business; you’ll be part of a group that can offer you opportunities and development for the whole of your career!

You will be based in a factory environment and main responsibilities include:

  • Hanging up work on the appropriate jigs.
  • Preparing work to enter the galvanizing process.
  • Ensuring working areas are kept safe and tidy, working with your colleagues and company systems to highlight any concerns.
  • Following training and procedures for all production-based activities and practices in your area. 

About You:

  • This role would suit someone who is a team-player, conscientious and has a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • The work often involves a reasonable amount of physical activity, so it would suit someone who is confident in lifting and handling work (with appropriate training offered to all).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Thursday, x3 8hr shifts + 1 12hr shift. 36hrs in Total.
  • £12.48ph

Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
