Job: Children's Deputy Manager – (1-Year Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Crediton
Salary: £16.00 per hour + £30 per sleep-in shift

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives outlined in the statement of purpose
  • Deputise in the absence of the registered manager
  • Support and manage staff to meet the needs of children and young people
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate
  • Act as the responsible person for managing child protection concerns and complaints
  • Work in partnership with professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people
  • Provide supervision and support to senior staff in accordance with care quality standards and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015


Person Specification:

  • Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Working towards or already holds Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
  • Full, current driving license
  • At least 3 years’ experience in residential children’s care, including supervisory experience
