We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Crediton, Devon. In this role, you will conduct both electrical and mechanical diagnostics, perform effective repairs on plant equipment and electrical systems, and implement preventative maintenance to ensure our facilities run smoothly and efficiently. You will also troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance work and repairs.
  • Work with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
