My client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of 5 maintenance engineers in the PCB manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is keen on fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. The successful candidate will ensure optimal performance of all PCB manufacturing equipment and maintain high standards of operational excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Schedule and allocate work assignments to ensure optimal resource utilisation and timely completion of tasks.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for electrical systems and other PCB manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyse equipment performance data to predict potential failures and implement proactive solutions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
  • Optimise the usage of any Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment, ensuring integration with existing systems.
  • Manage maintenance-related projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections and certifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing a team in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards - 18th Edition BS7671.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • High level of computer literacy.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in the PCB industry.
  • Project Management knowledge.
