MS568 - Plant EngineerLocation: Crediton (Field Based) Location: CreditonSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annumOverview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Plant Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant repair and maintenance, as well as the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical problems. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and have the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and accurately.Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, all candidates will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections, servicing, and maintenance of new equipment.
  • Work on a range of machinery, including agricultural machinery, tractors, excavators, amenity equipment, lawn care and garden equipment, wood chippers, scissor lifts, ATVs, UTVs, compact tractors, dumpers, and loaders.
  • Travel between customer sites across the South West.
  • Maintain high standards of servicing while working independently.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in mechanics / engineering, particularly in agricultural, construction and groundcare equipment.
  • Comfortable with a field-based role, constantly on the move between customer sites.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Flexible with seasonal working hours.
